Ballymeade Country Club will be a challenging location for our first 2011 event. Low and high handicappers alike comment on the varied, challenging and fun layout. Ballymeade has been described as one of the best kept “golf secrets on the Cape” with postcard perfect golf holes.
Many golfers comment on the pristine conditions and private club atmosphere.
Specific notes about the course from the Ballymeade website include:
Hole 4: “Club selection off the tee is very important on this deceiving, short par 4. Although it is only 180 yards to clear the water, you must find the fairway to have a chance at a birdie.”
Hole 6: “Play long on your approach to avoid the cavernous bunker guarding the front right side of the green”
Hole 9: “Take a little more club”
Hole 13: “Beware of trouble if you stray too far right.”
Hole 18: “The green is larger than it appears from the fairway”
